Day 6 RMG

A day around the thermal features of the Lower Basin, Black Sands basin and Midway Geyser Basin home of the Grand Prismatic. The colours are not so great from ground level so will hopefully climb the small bluff behind to view from higher up.

The thermal area is vast, with steam rising up everywhere you look, from geysers, hot springs, mud pots and fumaroles. A long day-11 hours in the park.

Lovely sighting on a Bald Eagle along the Madison river first thing.
