Yellowstone Day 1

An early start from Lander, fuelled by an Egg McMuffin. Headed north through the Wind River Indian Reservation, passing the casino and trailer park and stopping for a nice river/aspen vista. Then on through Debois, a small cowboy themed town and into the Teton Forest. We travel across the Continental Divide and looming in front of us is the Teton Range. Entering The Grand Teton National Park at Moran Junction, photos were taken at the Divide and at Oxbow Bends where the range is beautifully reflected in the still water.

First impressions….where are all ‘The Critters’?

Quick stop at Lewis Falls, nothing to write home about and onto West Thumb Geyser Basin (and I don’t care what the Americans say, its geezer.)

Quick stop off to pick up some great silhouettes at The Midway Basin and then stuck in a bison traffic jam.

Onto West Yellowstone, home for 6 nights.
