Yellowstone Reports Feb 7th 2020, Bison,Snow, Biscuit Basin, Black sands

An incredibly hard day today, both physically and photographically. Overnight snow had left frozen uneven paths coated in deep snow making walking heavy going. On going heavy snow made photography hard and gear wet through.Visibility was poor all day, the park was bleak and cold.

A recent wolf kill at Old Faithful had us arriving just as the wolves had been scared away and howl’s in the forest could be heard as the pack reassembled itself. The wapiti pack.

Bison sheltered from the relentless snow and wind on the Madison flats.

Thermal features below from Biscuit basin and black sands.

More snow is forecast overnight.
