Maroon Bell, Aspen, Colorado

Heavy rain postponed a dawn start to photograph Maroon Bell with aspen fall colours taking centre stage instead. A cold wet day, I managed only about 10 minutes at the lake before it poured down again. For those 10 minutes however, the scene was perfect, still water, mist, fall colours and snow on the peaks.

A disappointing day all in all for a one off visit to such an iconic location.
